In late February it is my wife and I's 10th wedding anniversary and we are looking to do a trip to celebrate.

We have looked at several options, including long haul & 'staycation', but have finally settled on a European trip taking in a few stops.

So far we have come up with the following route;

-Fly into Paris - 3 nights, including 1 day at Disneyland

-Train from Paris into Switzerland

-2 nights in Switzerland, possibly Chur or St Moritz (suggestions welcome)

-Bernina Express

-Milan - 3 Nights then fly home.

The only part we are unsure of is where to stay in Switzerland as we have never been and any hotel location would need to be near the rail route that we are taking.

This would be our first time doing such a trip so any recommendation or tips would be welcome.

Congrats on the decade.

If you're near the South East, get the Eurostar to Paris. It's so much nicer than flying. An upgrade to Busines or whatever it's called (not 1st) gets you decent food, lots of wine and doesn't cost that much. And it gets you into Central Paris rather than commuting from the airport.

Chur (pronounced "khur") was cute and a little alternative but small. St. Moritz is much bigger and fancier. I've not been to either in winter. I'd choose the one that has a nice restaurant you can take a gondola too and drink champagne on top of a mountain?

Thanks, but travelling from central Scotland so flying is the best option to save time.
