Hi All

After the brilliant suggestions I had late last year for Barcelona does anyone have any top tips for New York, spending some time with friends with 3 days in the city tacked on the end in early Feb.

Thanks all.

There's a recent thread running here - https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

I too am off to NY in Feb (taking my 7 yr old daughter with me for a few days). Have so far booked flights (return with BA Club World for £700 thanks to miles and a companion voucher). Just need to sort out the hotel and a few more things to do.

As with most things it's really down to your budget and interests. We did two separate week long trips to feel like we done 'everything 'we wanted to do.

Most generic bit of advice is to use the subway other than from the airport we didn't use anything but our legs and the subway-which even for a country bumpkin was easy to navigate. One of our trip was in Feb, there was snow around but it didn't snow while we were there and it wasn't that cold.

I mostly liked just wandering around the different neighbourhoods and eating and drinking well. Saw some Broadway shows, did the ESB in the day and at night and the Rockefeller. Visited the natural history museum and MOMA.

I enjoyed the visit to the Intrepid. I'm a bit of a film buff so visited some of the locations from my favourites.

You may like some, all or none of that though.

It must feel expensive for anyone buying in £'s now thoguh. I went at $2 and $1.3 to the £ previously.
