Hi,

Got a concert in July.

Options to get to London are;

-Drive (to west London at best to keep parking costs down and keep sanity)
-Train to Waterloo

One option is Ealing for a hotel in West London (Premier Bin is 200 quid) then its a Bus up to Wemberlee, I'm not one for buses but has anyone done this and had issues after the concert late?

Other than that its a train in and finding something at a minimum of 250 a night then tube to Wembley and back.

I’ve used a “Park on My Drive” website a couple of times now. Go for one that’s a ten minute walk or so which gets you outside the local gridlock when leaving.

Where are you starting from, and what are you trying to achieve? (ie cheapest, most comfortable, fastest etc). Wembley is pretty well connected by Tube so you could drive to Slough (assuming starting from the South), get on the Elizabeth line and change to Bakerloo. If you wanted a drink then hotels out of town but still on the Tube network are going to be cheaper. I tend to pick the Tube stop closest to home, park there then just scoot about on the Tube network, far easier than driving into town.

On the basis that all the hotels in and around the Stadium are fully booked would suggest Premier Inn at Hangar Lane- has a small chargeable car park and c 20 min bus ride but walkable at a push

If I drive then Ideally its a case of having a hotel in an earhe West that's easy enough to get to before and then get out....and then easy enough to get to Wembley.

I think I'd prefer Ealing to Hanger Lane for being out and about for a few hours, also possible to get the tube into west end and then back out to Wembley, then back after its finished on the Bus from Wembley to Ealing.

Another cheaper option is Brentford, its 140 quid but takes an hour on a bus to Wembley so I may as well drive and not be able to drink!

For the train option into Waterloo (tube to Wembley and back) I have seen a couple of hotels in the west end that are 250 or so which feels an awful lot to sleep in for a few hours!

God its hell getting north/south in the west!

Gerrards Cross. I think there are a couple of hotels in <15 mins walking distance of the station....can't imagine they would be North of £200 per night in summer, probably a lot less. Never stayed as I live fairly local, but it's a quiet place, easy access from M40 and takes about 20 mins on the train to Wembley Stadium. I know The Bull is the larger of the hotels there and has parking.

Harrow on the Hill might be a good shout, Travelodge there if you want to stay overnight and car park opposite. Met line station a 5 minute walk away, and only 3 stops to Wembley Park.

Is that the one that's about 8 yards inside the ULEZ zone? I was looking at that for a couple of upcoming trips, but I really begrudge paying £12.50 to basically drive into the car park irked

Last time I went to Wembley for a concert I drove up with the intention of paying the parking charge but there was lots of business on the main road leading to the stadium that turned their car parks into stadium parking and charged about £10/£20 to park for the event. Do they still do that?

Park in Ickenham or Hillingdon tube stations and then it's a direct train to Wembley Park.

Only £3 on weekends and usually plenty of spaces

My plan will likely be to stay in Premier Bin l in Hammersmith for the night. Cheaper hotel option and parking about 20 quid for the night.

Hammersmith and City to Baker Street then Baker Street to Wembley Park. We can have some lunch and beers in Baker Street area most likely then head up to Wembley.

Trains run till 1230/1 so we'll try and get back unscathed on the tube.

I have parked in Wembley for a concert and won't again....took hours to get there and hours to get out. And agree lots of unofficial parking available outside.

I've thought about the exit plan getting back to bournemouth and staying this way is the best option.

Was this the new or old Wembley? Having parked at Wembley for Cup Finals & concerts the old one was a nightmare & it’s taken a few hours to just get.out of the car park! I’ve parked at the new one for a FA Cup semi-final & it was a dream. We were parked probably 100yds from our gate & for some reason no queue whatsoever to get out.

Plus, after the concert you'll be heading out to Harrow on the tube while the mob will be on the other platform, heading into town.

Correct, whenever I've been to either an England friendly or the NFL International, my old house was in the Harrow direction and the platform was empty with crowd control applied for all the Central London bound platforms.

Or go a few hundred metres up the road to West Ruislip, park there for the same price, walk directly on to the platform for a train to Wembley Stadium.

Bring your clubs and you can squeeze a round of golf in at Ruislip Golf Club.

No you can't, now destroyed by HS2. This is the golf club a year ago, the works have expanded ten fold since then. Everything green you can see to the right of the existing railway had gone.
