As restrictions for quarantine are being lifted as of this Sunday (8th) January, it looks like I will be heading east at some point this year. Anyone else planning a trip or have any idea how long it's likely to take to get a Visa? Used to be about 4/5 days IIRC but I have no idea if the process is still going to be the same.

Been a long time coming that we will be able to go back for holidays and visits.

I'm looking forward to it. Haven't been for several years now. Have you found anything about testing or anything when returning home?

You need a negative test on the way there and back.
Flights are still pretty prohibitive though, looks like there's one direct (and expensive) flight a week but maybe less of an issue if you're going by yourself for business.

UK South Korea, China.
Many times I fly to Seoul, then its just a 1 hour hop to Qingdao, Yantai, or 1h30m to Beijing.

£530 to KR and about £100 from KR to CN
Check out Trip.com (used to be Ctrip)

The ferry is good between Incheon and Yantai.
Leaves around 18:00h and arrives Yantai about 10:00 (overnight so cutting cost for hotel smile )
