We stayed there about 18 months ago and it is a very nice place to stay. Quite unique obviously with the building design, the rooms are really comfortable, although in our room the window was very small and high up so difficult to enjoy the view, almost prison like 
The bathroom was the cell room next door through an adjoining doorway and was large with a nice bath.
The view from one end at the top of the main corridor with the guest (cell) doors facing as shown on the web site is fantastic.
When we visited they hadn't long opened and the staff in the restaurant were struggling to cope so the service wasn't the best but I believe that has improved.
The restaurant is a great setting being the old chapel with great lighting.
The food was excellent.
We had a walk around the buildings inside and out to enjoy it's atmosphere, there are plaques in the rooms to give you some history on previous inmates.
The history tour was fun and worth doing.
When we were there, the car park was very busy and there are charging points if needed.
I would say, definitely worth staying.
