So looking forward to Summer 2023.

I have 6 weeks off work, (3 weeks paid and 3 weeks unpaid).

Possibly looking to do a Safari, where we'll be away for 10-12 days.

Can anyone recommend any good Safari locations/operators. We are pretty content to rough it, (though a few days of home comforts would be nice). Main concern being safety and security.

Budget - finger in the air time, what is a reasonable budget?

Time wise - Unfortunately Miss 125 is a teacher is strictly bound by school holidays.

Any other Honeymoon ideas (I'd quite like Cuba)?

As an aside, we did do Mauritious last year. That said it was a fair old jaunt! We also did 3 weeks interailing over this summer. So we are fairly eclectic traveler's.

For the remainder we plan to come back and just travel the UK in my Van for the remainder.

What do you want to achieve on the safari? Is it about just the experience or do you want to see animals in the wild. And what are your views on malaria areas?

The reason I mention the experience (roughing it) is that the wilder you go, the less chance there probably is in seeing animals. We met a couple on their honeymoon who had been in the Kruger and had not seen much at all over 2 years.

Happy to give a few thoughts on safari and as have been this year but would need a bit more information. Where were you thinking, what did you want to see, what sort of accommodation would you like?

Cost is very much dependant on the above but worth noting it isn’t cheap, regardless of how you do it!
