Suppose I have a few days or a week to spare and want to visit somewhere properly cold, like beware of frostbite and don't touch metal outdoors cold. Where is most accessible?

Best example I did was a hurtigruten cruise around the north Cape.

Warm on the boat, so only in the cold for short periods of time.

Seeing cars buried in fresh snow is quite funny, shovels required.

My trip went from Tromso

A few years ago I had a week up in Northern Norway, well inside the Arctic circle. Flew from my local airport.
Transun holidays organised it.

A good few years ago we went to Sweden to hopefully see the Northern Lights. Stayed in a little village called Porjus, which is inside the arctic circle.

Minus 21 there tonight apparently...

Stayed here

I think it's changed hands since we went though. There's a summer only railway right next to the lake, if you walk down it but stray off it slightly you could easily end up waist deep in snow.

Edit to say we flew via Stockholm, then an internal flight to Gällivare Airport
