3 roaming New Orleans

I’m off to visit family in February and looking at cheap internet on my kit. I have a MiFi device which I use here in the uk. I’ve seen 3 do a PAYG preload and it says I can use 12Gb on US roaming.
Has anyone any experience of 3 in the us roaming?
Is there any other reasonably priced options?

I have 3 on a sim only deal, I was in NOLA earlier this year and as I'm currently still on the "pre-brexit" roaming rules until my upgrade is due next year, I was able to use my plan as normal for free (12GB data, unlimited text/minutes). If you get a new sim or plan with 3 now, it's £5 a day to unlock your plan if it's international and £2 for Europe. In any case, I was getting full proper 4G signal not just in NOLA but around Florida, Georgia and South Carolina.

PAYG on 3 still has roaming included. It's only post paid that charges per day.
