Going on the 22nd Dec with a 17 and 16 year old. No car hire and looking for any hints and tile for things to do and places to eat.

Staying on south beach.

Which area of South Beach are you staying? Between 5th and 17th is the most popular tourist area. I live south of 5th, it's a bit quieter.

Plenty of stuff to do and endless numbers of good restaurants but not sure how much is teenager friendly. The whole range of eating places from Cuban places to Papi Steak and Milos. You won't go wrong in many places, there's not much bad food around. Lots of healthy eating places and if you want the exact opposite, 11th street diner is excellent.

Things to do with teenagers is a bit more difficult. Rent jetskis and p1ss off the locals? Rent a boat and tour around the islands looking at the celebs houses or do it on one of the organised tours. Rent kayaks or paddleboards at sunset harbour and do the same with manual effort. Go see Miami Heat, it's the middle of their season and it's a great fun night out. Rent bikes and cycle up to Haulover inlet, 11 miles each way from south point. Frost Science museum is worth a visit. Use Uber to get around, it's pretty cheap unless it's Christmas or new year. Lincoln Road is waking up again after suffering hard under covid, it's worth a walk around.

Let me know if want more, but I'm struggling to think of stuff for teenagers.

cheers,

If you fancy something different, the Miami Dolphins are playing at home, currently scheduled for Xmas Day (which is a bit weird I think). A great day out and amazing atmosphere.
