Anyone been? A big group (4 families) of us are looking at it for October next year. We like surfing/bodyboarding and fancy something a bit different to the Canaries.

Main issue is getting there as it looks like easyJet sometimes flies direct from Bordeaux! Otherwise it's Marrakech and a three hour transfer or hire cars. If anyone's got pointers for that it'd be amazing! smile

Spent a few days there about 100yrs ago, so not v up to date sorry!

Lovely little walled city, great souk etc. Amazing sardines and other fresh off the boat fish eaten at long tables by the harbour.

V windy all the time. Miles of beach. Hence the windsurferssmile

If you are into watersports you could have a good week there I reckon For others a couple of days is probably enough. It's quite small.

When we went it was Royal Air Maroc only, to Marrakech and then a long ride in the inevitable.old Merc taxi. Spend a night or two in Marrakech if you do go that way, it's worth it.

Went from Marrakesh about ten years ago, nice little city with good food. We only visited for a day so no idea about surfing etc sorry.

Sounds just what we're expecting/wanting. The less keen surfers like food, which is handy. And October looks less windy on average than other months.

Yeah as others have said - very pleasant little town with a nice feel to it. The wind is constant though. 2 or 3 days is probably enough but if you're doing activities then you should be fine.

Much more chilled out than Marrakesh with very little of the hard sell even from the traders in the souks. Plenty of interesting food options too.

If you fly to Marrakesh the drive down is pretty straightforward - Moroccans actually drive pretty slowly and there's reasonably frequent speed traps so just chill and go with the flow.

Not many old merc taxis left sadly, a government scheme means most have been replaced with modern dacias.

Morocco is a truly horrible place to holiday, I like many wanted to visit but wouldn’t ever return.

You will get the screaming sh*ts, you wil get ripped off, you will feel unsafe.
