Car Hire: St Pancras
Discussion
I’m travelling in to St Pancras on the Eurostar and then need to hire a car for a few days. It will be returned to an airport so I want to use one of the bigger companies because it is easier.
Europcar claim to be at St Pancras but don’t seem to have any cars available ever. Although lately I’ve found their prices to be ridiculously expensive anyway.
Sixt and AVIS are the other choices. Has anyone hired from either of them at St Pancras / Euston?
I’m leaning towards Sixt because they show all the available options when you book, but AVIS have a load of “other options are available at the pick up location” which means “this price is a lie and we will bend you over when you come to get the car”.
I’m not sure about Budget - they aren’t much cheaper than AVIS and have the same dodgy quoting practices.

Budget is Avis, so it really doesn't make any difference apart from some mild differences in T&Cs. I used Sixt when they were up at their old location on Caledonian Road without issue and they generally have nice fleet options. That's who i'd pick out of any of those options, or head a little further and go with Alamo at Russell Square.
