Is "go to Antwerp, Bruges or Ghent!" an acceptable response? wink

I'm joking!

I usually only spend a day for work and maybe 1 night there at a time.

Whilst the beer filled bars around the Grand Place appeal, you'll find much nicer places with reasonable prices away from the tourist trap hotspot.
Plenty of decent watering holes around the Stock Exchange area.

I can recommend Restaurant Vincent, Rue des Dominicains 8. It's a really great place.
I eat there every time I can get to Brussels. Their steak tartare is the best I've ever had.

Are you into art nouveau: buildings, furniture etc? Brussels is a world centre for this, and you can get various tours of buildings etc.

Several years ago Brussels had an art nouveau season and we went for 2-3 days, took several tours, all good.
