I've just booked up a last-minute deal to Gdansk with the Mrs. We fly in a couple of weeks direct from Newcastle. We've been to Krakow a good few times and also enjoyed Sopot, so I think we'll enjoy it. We do a lot of city breaks and tend to do a lot of walking and sightseeing through the day and then like to find some cool bars in the evening.
Has anyone been and can recommend any nice cellar bars, cool places or pubs with live music? I've done a Google and there are a lot of places that come up but a lot of them seem like younger places and clubs rather than somewhere a 48-year-old man can hang out without looking like a perv.

Yes i have been, Gdansk and a day trip to Sopot, it was stunning, loved it and would go back for sure.
Stayed at a beer hotel, amazing, place, great basement bar and food.

I went to lots of nice bars, live music etc but couldn't recall them by name, just have a wonder, its not big and you will get a feel for it.
There is a nice rooftop bar at PURO Hotel Gdańsk for a chilled drink
