Hi Guys

If you don't have a Covid passport, do you still need to produce evidence of a negative test before you can enter Spain?

if so, it must be the last country in Europe still doing this.

Thanks

Just back from Spain, the only thing left is masks on public transport. Some taxi drivers don't care.

Flew in yesterday, nobody checked or asked for any paperwork.

Can confirm no requirement.

From what I can see mask wearing is almost 100% on buses except the HoHo buses where it was non existent (I don’t know if that’s some loophole or not)

Taxis don’t seem to bother, most drivers if they have them on are round their chins.

I’m hearing that the checking of people’s jabbed status at Spanish airports is random and much less than the summer. Apparently Aena (airport operators) are fed up with paying for the staff to check people and are considering charging the airlines who may then sue the government. Hopefully the whole fiasco will end soon.

This is a useful site for Spanish entry changes:

Make sure you carry a mask. The plane we were getting on at Birmingham to fly to Palma on Thursday wouldn’t let anybody on without a mask. Half the passengers were standing on the tarmac kicking up a fuss until finally the stewardesses let them one. Bloody shambles, you do need masks in taxes. No Covid checks.

That’s against any rules that I am aware of and something I have not experienced at B’ham flying to Spain. Which airline was it?

Would have most likely been a Spanish staffed crew.

We flew back from Barcelona this spring, and at the airport over there there was a woman who's sole job was to check every single one of us put a mask on before boarding (for everyone to then take them off as soon as they sat down). They are bloody nuts for it!

Can't remember the name, but we had booked with RyanAir but it was not their plane or staff. I had not heard of the airline before.

Because NHS Wales are bl**dy useless, my partner's booster failed to make it to the online Covid pass and no amount of telephone calls could resolve it.

So we took a self-administered LFT test and had it verified online and got a certificate even though my 3 previous visits to Fuerteventura all went unchecked.

Sure enough, on this occasion, nobody was checked. They seem to have some sort of temperature camera (?) as you enter the baggage area but that's it.

Hopefully, they will bin this nonsense before my December trip.

You do have to wear a mask in any pharmacy or medical place. Ironic, given that they are robbing you...

As far as I can tell, all requirements for Spain include the islands otherwise the difference would be highlighted here:

Pop your details in to the form here to get specific advice:

Spain is also Canaries.
I jumped through hoops to get my gf an LFT.
Never once looked, seem to rely on a heat camera.
Utter tripe.

Been 4 times this year, not a sniff of a check. Zero. Nada. Zilch.

They were when we went to Majorca in august, but didn’t mention our lack of mask after boarding the plane.
