Afternoon all,

Does anyone know of any nice hotels in Spain with a decent lazy river/waterpark attached? 3 adults, one 11 yr old. 4 or 5 star if possible. Thinking towards southern Spain as we're going end of May. Potentially consider Tenerifay etc, though a long flight for a child. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Siam park is amazing, including the lazy river. So somewhere in Costa Adeje.

My idea of hell pre kids but had a cracking holdiay here:

https://www.jet2holidays.com/spain/costa-blanca/be...

You've access to a very large zoo and water park as a resort guest. Never struggling for something to do to entertain the kids. The basic lodges have a separate kids bedroom so you can either sit or or up in the main bedroom when the kid(s) are asleep. This is Costa Blanca so 2hrs 40 to 3 hrs depending on where you're flying from in the UK.

I cant imagine the Canaries are much more than an hour ish further than southern Spain I.e. malaga? Not enough to out me off with kids.

Another vote for Costa Adeje. and Siam Park

For what you describe would be perfect combo

And rent a car - go to the top of the volcano and as a must - drive to Masca for lunch !

Our kids enjoyed Siam park, just be aware that the Tsunami pool really does get some big waves and you’re quite likely to get peoples feet and legs hitting you in the face.

Not for new swimmers TBH.

Quick update.

We've booked Holiday World Polynesia Hotel, Benalmadena, for May half term. It looks ghastly, so I suppose the eleven year old will love it.
Costa Adeje seemed a bit hardcore, and this will be the first time the child's been away without mum, so we wanted something closer to home and not too scary. Maybe next time.

Thanks all. smile

Definitely go for Adeje/Playa/Los Cris and Siam Park next time, we’ve been going since my lad was 8, and went this July. If booking with jet2 (and they do free child places) water park access can be included for the duration of the holiday. The rides are pretty impressive depending on your lad’s height there is only one ride he won’t be allowed on until age 14 (or looks it and can remember his ‘new’ birth date whistle).

I stayed there with a group of 10 a good while back. It was a great holiday and the kids will love it. The hotel is pretty good, but it is fairly remote. You cant really pop next door to a pub or restaurant. You need a taxi or shuttle bus to get anywhere from the hotel.
