Eurodisney in October half term

Brave or stupid?

Thinking of 4 days over the Halloween weekend with a days travel either side so we can maximise time in the park.

Travel tips would be appreciated, flights are cheap and regular out of Birmingham but leaning towards the flexibility of the ferry, Newhaven - Dieppe on the way out, overnight Caen - Portsmouth coming home.

Will be staying on site and we're not really foodies, so wasn't planning on booking anything restaurant related. If worst happens I figured we may be able to jump in the car for 15mins and find a local restaurant if on site is all booked out?

We did Halloween about 3-4 years ago. Visited the park actually on the 31st. It was open until midnight if I remember correctly with a massive Halloween party, fireworks, light show etc. We were staying in Paris so got the train in and out, although there was a replacement bus due to engineering works about 30 mins in so that added some time on. We got to the park for opening at 10am and left after the lightshow around 9pm. It wasn't as busy as I expected, but still pretty hectic.

We went feb half term as covid was becoming a thing, we didn’t book any restaurants but found just rocking up at a restaurant in the day and asking for a table was not a problem but anything for the evening I’d sort in the morning.

I suspect 4 days in the park might be a bit too much time.

Also - eating in the evening if you haven't booked anything can be a bit challenging. We were staying in the Sequoia Lodge and hadn't booked anything for the first evening - nothing available. I think we ended up with a baguette sandwich sitting in the hotel lobby. Not ideal.

I have booked for then, 2 nights, 3 days and the Halloween party, booked to stay at the tunnel on the Wednesday, 5.20 tunnel across, then travel to pick the tickets up and hopefully get there in time for the magic hours, staying at Davy Crocketts Ranch for 2 nights, then move to a local Ibis on the Saturday, go to the Halloween party, and then travel back to Stoke on the Sunday.

I stayed at both of these when I went. The ranch was good then wanted to head to Paris and drink so much easier to move to the ibis next to the station. It’s also quick to get into Disney but the ticketing system is crap. If using the train download the SNCF app and you can prebook tickets. I used this for Monaco this year and was a breeze.

Book restaurants if possible. Soemtimes cancellations pop up on the app, and sometimes its nice to actually sit down and eat something other than a burger.

Getting the 5:20 - you wont be off the train until 7am french time (hour change) - so you won't make magic hours (but limited rides open anyway). Very slow to get tickets from hotel, with people checking out etc. We got in around 10:30am when we did this (rained whole way etc).

Do get free parking at disney though which is helpful.

Will probbaly need 1.5 days disneyland paris, and about 0.5 - 1 day max for the hollywood park. Not sure how old kids are (assuming kids due to half term) but mine like to meet the charectors etc.
