My wife and I are taking the family (daughter, son in law and two grandaughters) on holiday for Christmas and I've just booked a 42' catamaran for 16th - 24th December from Dream Yacht Charter out of Port Louis for us to sail up to Carriacou, Union island and Tobago Cays etc.

My daughter is sorting out the hotel for us to stay from 24th - 30th December and she currently is favouring the Radisson on Grand Anse beach, this looks a pretty good choice but can anyone give me confirmation of this.

Any recommendations for what tourist attractions are worth doing on the Island would also be very welcome.

Hello T! You kindly showed me round your beautiful penthouse a few years ago smile

I’ve been to Grenada about 5 times, my best friend is from there. Can’t advise on hotels as she has a place there but Grand Anse beach is lovely. Just don’t stay at Sandals!

I’d have to go back through my trips to get actual place names but Google should sort you out from these ideas:
Hire a 4x4 - they are all RH drive like the UK and the island is really easy to get round
The waterfalls
Drive up the coast north through Gouyave. If it’s still there a beautiful historical plantation/lunch stop to see
Rivers rum plantation visit
Grand Etang lake
Snorkel trip to the underwater sculpture park
BBC beach is wonderful with a great local cafe

Eat all the food! There’s a perfect mix of quite high end great quality as well as local cuisine obviously.
The container park is brilliant for variety of local food and nice atmosphere
Aquarium is a must visit. Try the ribs on Sunday!

It’s a fabulous relaxed and very friendly place, you’ll love it!
