Hi all,

I'm looking for somewhere to take my wife for a long weekend for her birthday. Ideally, I'm looking for somewhere with a nice spa, but also with the sort of self-catering accommodation that you get in Center Parcs.

Obviously Center Parcs themselves offer this, but as we won't have the kids with us, we have no need for the big leisure pool and other masses of child-focused stuff, plus being a long schlep away from the car if we want to go out and about isn't necessarily ideal either.

Does anyone have any recommendations for places to look that are in the South East, over as far as Wiltshire, up maybe as far as Bedfordshire?

I’ve been to bluestone, it’s nice with kids but much better for a break with the wife would be one of the Forest holiday resorts. More privacy plus a tub. You’ll never go to centre parcs again after trying one though.

I did look at the Forest holiday one in Blackdown Forest, but unfortunately no Spa, and the cheapest option was £800 for 3 nights. If I wanted a sex pond that badly, I'd buy one! hehe
