As per the title. Last day of our holiday and catching the Eurotunnel Tuesday evening. Am near Poitiers and am probably going to go via tours and Le Mans ( done Le Mans loads)

Anything compelling to see or have lunch at on the way or is it better to let the wife nod off and crack on?

Really bored of looking at google and old books for ideas so I thought of asking here.

Cheers

We did this journey last week, it is a long way from Poitiers to Calais, took us 7 hours with lunch stops, dog breaks etc.

Honfleur is a good place to stop for lunch on that run. About 4 hours from Poitiers via Le Mans

I’d second Honfleur - lovely place and our regular stop on our way to the Dordogne. Just don’t eat around the harbour as the quality of the restaurants isn’t great.
It’s about 2.5 - 3 hours to Eurotunnel from there.

Honfleur this time last year - packed with tourists

Service on the quayside restaurants can be slow when it’s busy

There are better restaurants & bars just a short distance away from the touristy quayside.

Agreed re previous comments about Honfleur.

Nearer to Calais is Le Touquet. This is quite a pleasant place, the only thing we found off-putting is when you look back to town from the beach, there are some rather ugly buildings that the Luftwaffe unfortunately missed. The rest of it is OK, though.
