Travelling to Spain in mid October. I am reading online that will need a booster, is this right? Some websites say if you have not had the booster you will need to get it others just say if you are fully vaccinated you are ok - seems a bit confusing.

Given its summer hols I thought I would have seen something about this in the news?

You need a vaccination [2x shots] within 9mths/270 days or a booster or a recovery certificate.
If it's longer than 9 months since your second shot and you didn't get a booster you'll need a PCR within 72hrs/antigen 24hrs prior to entry and fill out the https://www.spth.gob.es/ form.
If you've had the booster you're free and clear.

[Main confusion is that 'vaccinated' means 2x initial shots and 'fully vaccinated' means you've also had the booster; the former is time limited and comes with PCR requirement after that; the latter is 'normal' travel.]

Double check but I think this is still the case, traveled through a few weeks ago.

Cheers mate, I will have to book a booster then I think thats going to be the easiest way to get in to Spain and less hassle.
Will also be handy to have the booster just before the winter kicks in I guess.

We have just come back from Barcelona, we did a Latral flow test for £15 carried out within 24hrs of travelling, you send them a pic and fill in short form and get a cert within 30 mins ( site was chronomics ) you also had to fill out a Spanish health form again took less than
10 mins.

We're a family of 3 dirty un-jabbed and wanting to get a week in Spain september/October

Just had a look at the chronomics web site.

Looks almost too simple, did you register the results/send pic of negative test and then get a fit to fly pass emailed back to you?

It's a £45 tax i'm prepared to pay for a week away

Yes.

Make sure you order a week before you travel to allow time for them to post the test. Register kit when required, do the test and send pic, they will send you a cert within 30 mins which you can save to your phone which they probably won’t even look at anyway 👍

It is still the case - at least in Malaga they do a bit of random spot checks now as opposed to checking everyone .. It's just easier to get a booster and then not have to even worry about it.

30 minutes……..when we did ours, the email came back in about 30 seconds - not enough time for a person to have looked at the photo……..I think keying in negative is the trigger.

Money worth paying imo

My unvaccinated son has just been to Spain.

Thought it'd be a pain but an LFT test at a local place less than 24 hours before departure.

Certificate sent to his phone within an hour, Spanish health form filled in on line.

QR codes sent to his phone. £22.

He didn’t even need to go anywhere- you can do the test at home and upload the result
