Good afternoon,

I'm flying Business Class with Aer Lingus from Heathrow to Dublin and then onto Washington. Does anyone know if the Heathrow to Dublin leg has Business Class seats? Only reason I ask is that Aer Lingus are telling me that its an economy class only flight which seems strange.

Also the return leg from Dublin back to Heathrow is with BA, will I automatically get given a Business Class seat as I'm unable to select a seat for that journey?

Lastly does anyone have any experiences flying Business with Aer Lingus in general, I'm flying one of their new A321 LR which will be interesting Transatlantic.

Thanks.

If it's an A320, no business class between DUB and LHR.

“Business Class” with EI may get you row 1 between LHR and DUB with no one in the middle seat, but that’s it. Planes don’t have a separate class of seat

I sat next to Bob Geldof and his missus once, he was in 1A, she was in 1B, I was 1C. She was very pleasant, but he was a bit of a grumpy bugger as he buried his nose in the FT

Yeah you’ll likely be in row 1-3 with the middle seat unoccupied (otherwise known as European Business Class). Plus that little curtain between 3 and 4 to keep the riffraff from seeing that you’re getting served snacks and drink whilst they get feck all. Probably the same story on the return leg.

ETA the A321 is the larger sister to the normal A320 I think? Pretty sure that’s what I flew on with Lufthansa from Frankfurt to Edinburgh; BC appeared to be decent with proper BC seats; although of course it varies. Have a look on YouTube for flight reviews - there are bound to be some.

I think Row 2 and back is same as normal, no prioritisation. It’s just rod 1 that is a higher priced ticket now. I forget what they call it.
