Hi all, I can't work out from their website which car park to head for without paying either £80 or £369!

Any advice?

Mid stay is free for 60 mins, (they get a bus to you).

I'll be picking up a very tired 4yr old and his mum so I'd rather be closer (like at Heathrow for example), is the only option to spend a fortune?

Bassingbourne Road, near the Police Station outside the Hampton/Hilton hotel... They'll need to come out of the terminal, turn right, walk to the end, get the lift down and walk to the barriers, but it's free (or it was).

Just do the express set down, ie outside the terminal, it’s about 15£, for 15 mins in and out.

If you want to meet them at the gate short stay is 15/20£ turn up and pay for the first hour.

park in the macdonalds and wait
when they get through security tell them to ring you

they will walk out of arrivals and meet you at pick up .. they can’t miss it !!!!

then drive to the express pic up / drop off
it’s £7.50 contactless payment on exit

you have 15 mins before the charge really climbs upwards

Just done this for picking up and dropping off relatives.

Express drop off and pick up is £7.50 for 15 minutes and is directly outside terminal but you have to be pretty organised with pickup as the price gets really extortionate after that. Pay on exit at the barriers.

Short stay (orange or blue car park) is £10 for 30 minutes and £18 for an hour and only a 5 minute walk to the terminal. Pay at machine before getting in your car.

Mid stay car park is free for 60 minutes but you have to get a free bus to the terminal.

Best way is to park near the McDonalds or somewhere else nearby and get your missus to call you once she’s fully out of the arrivals hall. Quick in and out.

Pretty sure the McDonalds has anpr and a max time limit to wait there before a ticket comes your way, certainly used to be the case.

Worth checking.
