I was wondering if someone could help? Off to Portugal next Weds and then USA on Sat so I need to prove I have had covid jabs. Only problem is I need a full account on the NHS app which apparently I have never setup. I've submitted proof of ID but it said it can take 7 days to review which is going to be a bit of a problem.

The weird thing is though I had never downloaded the NHS app before according to Google but I'm sure I've seen my records before, I remember seeing the 2 jabs and the positive test recorded.

Does anyone know how I would have seen them without the NHS app? Was there another app? Wondering if I can access the records another way if I don't get full access approved in time?

You can print your proof of vaccinations off straight away from the website I believe, the wait is only for the app side of things - for PT at least it's unlikely you'll even need them, my last 2 trips there I was never even asked.

My son set up his NHS App last night and it said the same "up to 7 days for the ID check". It was through this morning and I have a copy of his COVID jabs on PDF for travel now

I think you can log onto the NHS website and download them from there.
They then get saved in Google Pay for later.
They do have a expiry date on and need to be redownload after a certain period.

ETA, the app took about a day to verify.
7 days is probably worst case scenario.

Thanks everyone, I found this webpage

Get your NHS COVID Pass
Use this service to view and share proof of your COVID-19 status.

In line with government policy, the domestic NHS COVID Pass is no longer available.

Travelling abroad?
You will need to provide extra ID before using your COVID Pass for travel. This process can take up to 7 days. Verify your identity now.

I must have used that before but it no longer exists, hopefully as mentioned I'll get approved in the next few days.

All approved and I have downloaded my certificates, surprisingly efficient in the end.

Glad it all came through.

I was in same boat, doing on sunday with a flight early Monday morning.

For me, it wasn't immediately obvious that the NHS app needed verifying, and this was entirely separate to the Covid pass.

The NHS app kept pinging on my phone, rambling about getting prescriptions and viewing my patient history, so I kept ignoring it. It should have read "YOU MUST VERIFY THIS 1 MONTH BEFORE YOU FLY".

Like you, my verification took about 6-7 hours, but good lord it felt forever, and I think the mrs was sizing up my coffin...

When was your positive test? I've just been looking into this for travel to France, and they only accept a positive within the last 4 months - otherwise you are classed as unvaccinated if you haven't had a booster. So check exactly what the requirements are for the countries you are visiting!

Jan 22 so it is of no use for France. I'm not having any more jabs so if countries won't let me in with only 2 jabs or a test then I will just go elsewhere. I'm covered with the 2 jabs until Jan 23 according to my certificates, who knows after that. Might be hoping for hot summers at home if the madness doesn't stop.
