Due to fly out of Heathrow on Wednesday and, typically, those lovely RMT chaps have decided to strike.

It's usually a 35-40min drive for me to T5 from home (and need to be there for 7AM) , but no idea what sort of impact to expect on traffic?

For those who regularly use the M4, was the traffic notably heavier during the June strikes?

Now schools have broken for summer, that will reduce traffic, but some will have to take cars or WFH to avoid the chaos.

Any suggestions or am I worrying unnecessarily (crystal ball time I know) wink

If you're arriving mid-week at 7am I'd suggest the roads will still be sensible, even the Heathrow area. Maybe allow an hour or so?

If you'd said 8.30am I'd have worried rather more...
