Hi all, likely going to go to Spain in September, but my covid jabs will have all ‘expired’ by then according to the Spanish government.

I have covid this week and very much testing positive testing constantly. How do I formally record this result so that I can use it as a pass to get into Spain in 3 months time?

I know you can’t get PCR tests from the government anymore, so how do I get one? And how does it get ‘formally’ logged that I’ve had covid?

Thanks

Happy to pay for a test, but want to make sure it’s one which is recorded in the right place, whatever that is?

Boots are no good. They are £79 and won’t test anyone who thinks they have Covid or is displaying any symptoms.

Does it have to be PCR, or can it be LFT? Lloyds Pharmacy do both with certification. Whether they will have the same "don't come here if you have symptoms" rule I couldn't say. Makes a bit of a mockery of the whole thing in that if you have symptoms, you can't find out if it's Covid, and if you don't have symptoms your holiday can be ruined by doing a test that comes back positive. Bonkers.

Looks like you can still report a positive LFD on the gov.uk site - assuming you have an NHS/UK Gov supplied one left (or can get your hands on one).

Great, I’ll try that.

I’ve still got boxes of tests.

Under current Spanish rules a booster does not have same expiry as a second jab. So yes, they recognise the booster and it does not expire.
