Few Nights in SA Wine Region?
Discussion
I’ve sorted the bulk of our holiday next February to South Africa.
We’ll be doing Kruger then flying down to Cape Town for a week in Camps Bay.
I then want to spend 3 nights in the Stellenbosch / Franschhoek area or similar for some nice food & wine and views. We’re a family of 4; 2 adults and 2 12 year olds so would need a 2 bedroom villa/apartment/suite.
I’d really appreciate some suggestions please as I’m struggling to find something that I really like the look of.
Cheers in advance.

Ive just been putting the finishing touches to our stay in Franschhoek in December. This time we are staying in an Air BnB, villa with pool and it is around £200/night. There are plenty of 2-3 bedroom villas with pools in and around Franschhoek for decent money and the accommodation is a good standard.
In previous years we have stayed in a couple of bed and breakfast guest houses within the town itself. The standard of accommodation over there is quite high, our favourite is Plumwood Inn.
There are also some very high end boutique hotels which can cost upwards of £300 per night, and they will be good in the main. Some are located in the town, others increasingly in the surrounding wine estates, maybe 10 mins from the centre.
I've been to Stellenbosch but never stayed there as I much prefer Franschhoek, it has a more relaxed, chilled vibe, and the food and drink offerings are unmatched.
