Terrifying theme/water park rides in Orlando
Discussion
I'll always remember the fear of standing at the top of Wet n Wild's ~70ft high Der Stuka as a child, and it wasn't much better many years later when t got into the Bomb Bay capsule
I want to put the children (13 and 14) through this same "experience"!
It seems that things have stepped up a gear, with Bliizzard Beach's Summit Plummet standing 120ft tall and Volcano Bay's Ko'okiri Body Plunge similarly daunting.
Other than these two, are there other rides (rollercoasters etc) that will give me a good reason to "hold the valuables" and let the children get on with it?

We’ve just booked to go next year to both Disney and universal (went about 20 years ago) everything I’ve been researching looks like universal will be the most enjoyable experience (and if you stay onsite you get included fast passes) Disney have just gone for greed and you’ll end up paying lots or waiting in a line for hours.
Pretty much any of the main coasters are going to be terrifying.
They put most of the coasters at our theme parks to shame.
Universal
Rip ride and rockit (you can pick your own tunes on this) and Incredible Hulk are 2 of the best.
They have a new Harry Potter motorbike one and a Jurassic Park one now which I've not been on but heard they are quite scary.
I'm not the best on coasters either but since it costs a lot to go there, it would be a shame to miss out on them. Just close your eyes and hope for the best.
The ones at Disney are a bit tamer, but still good fun.

I'll go on pretty much anything, but the rides that I still get apprehensive about are the Rip Ride Rock It at Universal Studios - it's the initial near vertical climb that gets you, make sure to look out sideways - and the Ko'Okiri body plunge at Volcano Bay as it's enclosed and the operator is in charge of when you drop - the girl in front of me burst into tears when she got to the front of the queue and took the walk of shame back down the stairs
Tower of Terror at Disney's Hollywood Studios used to be good but I think it's gone now, Summit Plummit at Blizzard Beach waterpark is quite daunting but I also think it isn't actually any fun as it's over in 5 seconds and you just end up with water up your nose and your shorts up your arse!

Tower of terror is now marvel themed. If the ride process is still the same then the drops used to be quite scary as they were randomised from memory so you never knew when it was going to drop, how far, or how many times - just when you thought it was over it would plummet another few storeys!Busch gardens - thats the park for decent rollercoasters, hulk is good, it has been a few years since I have been, but none scare me, I'm emotionless in my late 30's now according to my wife, I know my daughter will scream like anything, I took ear plugs with me when we did space mountain at disney in February.
Still love them, know thousands of people don't, but for me thats part of the fun doing something you rarely do.

Thanks everyone - some great feedback. I'm going to start the spreadsheet today and try and get the children to help research. Failure to engage and it's the tea cup ride
I spent a student summer back in the early 80s working on a travelling funfair in the US.Had some pretty decent rides, but the only one I saw people step off and throw up was the ‘double’ waltzers (tea cups with two rows of seats)!
The ride jockeys could pick on a particular ‘car’ and make it spin more than the others….don’t underestimate them!!

Yep, looking more at this, Disney seems so much effort with (depending on hotel) early and/or late access, Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane, meal ordering etc. This might put a spanner in the works
"Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park is closed at this time."

I’m going Orlando next may and getting the kids on tower of terror
Thats my favourite ride. Identical one in Paris aswel. Geniunly just loved it. Loved the story, loved the way the lift wasn't just a lift. I also don't like heights... but you don't really see the heights just get to feel the ride. Brilliant imo. For fear factor? I couldn't get on that ride in busch Gardens. Cant remember the name but 300 foot high, turns you to the ground and you free fall until very close to the ground and then flip out.. not for me.
