I'm hosting a works do in London next week, I have some spare time with about 8 people from 6pm to 8pm, be great to do something, activity type thing. I did look at Duck tours, seems they have ceased trading. Thought about mini golf, might go for that...

Any other inspiration ? We're staying Kensington, so ideally within shooting distance as we're back there for a meal at 9pm...

Any ideas / experience welcomed as I'm not a frequent visitor or London local..!

London Eye pub pod?

We did it in Aug last year and it was pretty good. You get 2 drinks and your own private pod which has a bar.

Its a pretty slick operation and its about 1 hour total from arrival to getting off.

We booked just for the two of us and had 1 other couple in the pod, but with 8 people you will prob have it all to yourself I would have thought.

Considering travel time getting to/back from somewhere 2hrs doesn't give you might to work with. Assuming age-appropreate why nt just hit one of the posh hotel bars for some pre-dinner cocktails?

Flight Club is better than it sounds (more than a pub with darts) and perfect to kill a few hours with colleagues. As others have said, easy to get to from Kensington too.

Guided walking tour in London? There's loads of providers and you typically get to see and hear about things most people (inc locals) completely miss.

I've done a few over the years, and in other cities, and never been dissappointed.

2hrs means it'll have to be on your doorstep. Not worth travelling anywhere, so check out places in walking distance of your hotel.

Flight club is good.
Swingers crazy golf is better.
Axe throwing is best.

All 3 easily beaten by just getting pissed in a decent boozer.

Well, yes, but it’s forced-fun work-do, we all know what they’re like. Might as well throw something.

Who are the visitors?

I had a selection of fancy restaurants lined up (had to ask advice) for a recent visitor from the states. In the end I took him to my favourite pub and Indian restaurant (both central london). But that was exactly what he wanted.

There is an appeal to a traditional pub for an hour or two.
