Tracking passport application

Sent SWMBO's passport application off last week for a name change ready for honeymoon at the end of September.

Stupidly we didn't think to note down the barcode number on the form in order to track the application.

Has anyone else been this stupid? Is there a way to track it or get the number? I'm guessing it'll be a couple of weeks at least before it's even logged in the system

I got an email with confirmation and tracking information pretty quickly. Maybe check your spam etc.

This assumes you gave them your email, I cant remember if they asked about updates via email or text message.

It did take a while for them to open the mail so maybe you will get an update in a week or two.

I sent 2 passports off via the online scheme. Sent on the 1st June next day delivery confirmation received on the 9th June that they had them I was getting text and e mail updates. Had the last message to say they are being sent back on Sunday. You will not be able to track it without the PEX number but you should also get an e mail and text confirming they have it and they quote the PEX number on that message.

I've found them informative via email. They've told me the important progress so I haven't bothered using any type of tracking.

I applied for mine at the start of the month and it was approved 4 or so days ago. I presume the approval bit is the slow part and the printing and delivery is the fast bit.

We've had a text this morning saying it's been received and the payment has been taken so a lot quicker than we though, they still quote 10 weeks so we'll see.
