Venice this weekend

I’m taking the family to Venice for the weekend and am looking for some tips / suggestions for any non obvious things to do?

We’re getting a water taxi from/to the airport and staying on the Grand Canal. Nothing else firmed up yet!

My MiL is joining us who won’t be able to walk too much so I need to factor that into logistics.

Appreciate any suggestions on things to do!

Bearing in mind MIL's issues, simply getting the slow vaporetto and travel the full length of the Grand Canal is really pleasant, especially at night. And dining at night right beside the Canal is also great.

You'll enjoy the water taxi experience!

You are a bit fked in Venice if you can't walk - Enjoy the hotel and rev your credit card up for the water taxi bills.

Expensive but really worth it.

Using the Vaporetti to travel around the canals and see the sights is great fun and inexpensive.
