Anyone been to the US recently?

As ever there are so many different links and websites to check to see what you need to do! It looks like we need to test 24 hours prior to travel, regardless of vaccine/booster status? Does that sound right?

Your airline should be giving you a checklist of docs (eg. vaccine proof, negative test results etc) you need to show/upload.

The test needs to just be the day before rather than 24 hours.

Yes it looks like I need to pay £39 for a witnessed test on Weds! Nice mug's tax.

Try DocHQ or Qured, should be able to get it for less than 20 quid.

Dam health are who I used, it cost a fair bit less than that.

Also printed off all my vaccine stuff, but predictably not at any (and I do mean any) point in Heathrow or San Diego recently was anything requested or looked at, all felt like a huge waste of time. Same for everyone I spoke to going to the same event from the UK.

So chances are no one will even want to see this test I'm going to have to pay for?

Oh I'd be surprised if you get asked for anything at all yes. But then there is the risk isn't there - as you say, total pisstake tax.

Yeah certainly not going to risk it, but annoying that it may well be money down the drain

Agreed no-one looked at any of our docs but it wouldn't let us check in with BA until we'd uploaded the test certificate to the Verifly App so someone somewhere must have looked I guess.

And this is why the Klarity option is the best - works every time for cert-only (using any LFT test you may) and zero issues - plus it’s the cheapest out there

How long is the US and Canada going to continue to require people to have had COVID jabs to enter? As the effect is known to wear off over time surely this can’t go on forever.
