I am British with a valid China visa. I can easily find a flight from UK to HK but am having difficulty in finding a flight from HK to China (the airlines I looked at online seem to be booked up for several months). Is it possible to enter China via boat/train/road from HK? If I travel to HK am I likely to be able to buy a plane ticket to China from a local travel agent?

I’ve previously done the train or a chauffeured car to the border crossing - get into Shenzhen as a foot passenger and you can fly from the airport in Shenzhen. I think we taxied it once on the China side for not much money as well.

It used to be pretty straightforward although you need to watch for late gate changes with no English announcements!

Very hard at the moment, there are quota's allowed across the border (which is totally shut) and I believe you have to have spent a month in HK or so after arriving before being eligible to go to China anyway, then you still have Q in China...

Unless going to Shenzhen/Zhuhai I would suggest flying as close as possible to your final destination, as you don't want to be caught in the wrong place at the wrong time and get caught up in a lcokdown!

In the end I managed find a flight from HK to China. I have to spend 1 week in quarantine in HK and then 2 or 3 weeks in China. Lovely.
