I'm off to Vegas in 9 days, it'll be our 5th trip so we're not Vegas novices, however we've only done one pool party before - Wet Republic at the MGM about 5 years ago.
We were a group of 6 guys, only had entry tickets and frankly it was st. We stayed about an hour, spent $70 each on a bottle of water and one Long Island iced tea.
I think our big mistake was only having entry tickets, no day bed/table etc.

But, this time we're only going as three of us and the prices of even a day bed at Wet Republic (we're staying MGM Grand again) are rather punchy to split between 3.

Anyone got any suggestions of pool parties with beds/tables etc that aren't eye wateringly expensive?
I was looking at this: https://daylightvegas.uvtix.com/uvuser/nocover/
But having done a search I fear the music will be the opposite of what we're looking for.

So, anyone out there with any ideas? We're keen to experience a good pool party as everyone still says how awesome they are, but at the moment we only have memories of the last one.

Don't have any constructive help really frown

Only having a small group is always going to make tables / beds / bungalows expensive on a per head basis.

We did Wet just before Corona and had a table / booth right next to the DJ - i think minimum spend for it at that time was about $1800 but add gratuity & tax i think it came in near to $2k.

It was still absolutely brilliant, had a great day. Did cost a pretty penny though.

Yeah sounds about the same as what I'm seeing now. My heart says sod it let's just chuck the money at it as it would be epic, but then the head says that $2k between 3 of us is nuts for a few hours. Maybe if Bitcoin flies up in the next 7 days......haha

Unfortunately I have nothing constructive to add regarding Vegas but me and Mrs BB went to Miami during the Superbowl in 2020 and went to a SLS Pool Party.

I messaged a guy on Instagram before we left and booked our ''bed'' . Got there and it was a Bench lol not much we could do by then.. go or not go.
I'm tighter than a Gnats chuff but I decided to go crack on and give it a go
I'd never been to one before but I loved it and blacked out haha. Had tickets to see Lil Wayne on the evening but I was ko'd.

Maybe it is has a association to this - https://www.vegas.com/pools/sls-hotel-pool/

or I found this website - https://lasvegasnightclubs.com/guides/which-las-ve...

What music do you want there to be all day ?

You'll be loving it though, Enjoy !

Ideally it would be someone like Martin Garrix, Tiesto etc for some EDM madness, but we'd also be very happy with some chilled out house or similar to lounge around to.

ok, I'm a vegas, and in particularly a vegas party expert.

Here's the first thing: IT WONT BE CHEAP. Particularly if you want the big DJs (Calvin Harris was getting around $600k for 2 gigs a weekend in vegas, that money has to come from somewhere)

My ranking is Encore beach club as far and away number 1

Tao beach just re-opened is apparently huge, I left just before it opened again.

Wet Republic, been a few times, never really been a fan. Big DJs though

The rest: Elia beach: kinda far (though from mgm not bad) but just haven't been getting the crowds.
Ayu day club weird layout, pretty small, surprisingly busy.
Daylight: Dump.

Friends that are there (I live in vegas part of the year) have been going to Tao beach and seem to like it, but still EBC is by far and away number 1. But it isnt cheap. Even a little day bed in the pool will be $2000 plus tax and grat, so closer to $3k.

I would say that with EBC I dont mind not having a table as much since its a lot bigger then Wet Republic, from what I hear Tao beach is the same.

Also prices have definitely gone up in vegas, a bottle that was 500 before now seems to be 700, so trust me, you'll easily hit your minimum.

My advice: if you're not willing to do it properly, dont do it. I have friends working in some of the ones I dont like, I can walk in free with no queuing and get a few free drinks tickets, and I still dont go to them. Pay the money, have an insane time, and win it back at blackjack later. (EBC actually has blackjack and craps tables inside too, so you could win it while you're there hahaha). Kygo on the 12th June will be unbelievable for sure.

In fact EBC at night is pretty fun too, so you could do Dillon francis one evening, and then wake up and do Kygo EBC daytime. Take money!

Thank you mate, really appreciate the insight.
I shall have to ponder with my two mates......I fear we may have to take a slightly sensible approach and not chuck thousands at it, especially with life just getting more and more expensive.

wow that was fast! edited my reply a little. But honestly given that you didnt like Wet republic, your only actual options are EBC at Tao. Every other place the crowd is way less good looking, louder, more trashy. You'll have 10x the fun at EBC and Tao, but you'll pay for it.

Do it! its vegas, and pool parties are great

Was in Vegas at the end of April with a few mates. We had EBC booked for a Friday. It is the place to go but the drinks are expensive, queues to get in, they dont like groups of lads either. I did not go and went shooting in the desert with a couple of mates and a truck load of guns and ammo. The others bailed in the end because the cost of ‘shade’ was so expensive. Tao is also very good apparently. What i do know is that Vegas fills with fit birds on a friday who have come from all over to go to these parties.

Cheers guys, my gut feeling is that we just can't throw enough money at it to make it fun, and that cash is probably best spent elsewhere.

For once in my life I wish I was a girl haha. Seems they get everything in Vegas, whereas us group of 3 guys is the last thing they'll want.

Encore is the best as mentioned above. Wet Republic probably up there as the worse.

I’ve done Encore the day of a Mayweather fight and it was unforgettable.

It’s going to cost you 2k easy, but in my opinion it’s worth it. It’s not just ‘a few hours’ it’s pretty much a full day, waited on, all your drinks and food and a good party, experiencing something you probably haven’t done before.

For £500 each or whatever, it’s 100% worth doing once.

You might save a couple hundred quid, spending that time round your hotel pool, going in the casino and getting free drinks….doing something you can do every day whilst you’re there. But you really should spend a little more than you usually would and experience something new. You won’t even remember how much it costs in a few weeks time, but you’ll remember the party.

Off topic and probably a bit too serious for this thread. But this is probably a case of be careful what you wish for. I mean, I guess there is a certain level of expectation when you're hot, young, drunk and out in Vegas. But the level and kind of attention that I've observed the girls getting at the pools and clubs in Vegas has often made me feel very uncomfortable, and also quite glad that I'm a podgy middle-aged bloke.

That said, don't ever be first to the bar as a podgy middle-aged bloke sitting on his own at any of the casinos gets a whole lot of attention from an entirely different section of the young & female population.

I do remember being a bit disgusted by people practically shagging on my leg in the pool at Wet Republic.
