Where would you consider for a week’s sunshine in November? Somewhere affordable and (not tricky) warmer sea than Blighty. Sicily? Crete? Turkey? The Red Sea?

I had tried Lanzarote before but ended up with a rainy week frown

Even though you had an unlucky experience with Lanzarote, the Canaries is your best bet. In November it will cost bugger all to fly there.

I've been twice this year and in March our flights were less than it cost me to park at the airport.

All in our week away was less than a grand, and we had a studio apartment in a beachfront resort (Tenerife).

This was the view from our sun terrace (cloudy morning though!)

The beach was about 100ft from the apartment

The Med can be hit or miss in November.

Red Sea is nice at that time. The Caribbean might give you some deals, as its after the bad weather, but before people really start arriving.

Lanzerote is good for about 3 months of the year tbh.

I have booked for Costa Adeje this November, take care to book early as its a World Cup year.

Anywhere from Costa Adeje to Los Gigantes has the best bet of weather in November. I went last November (the whole month) and it rained for two days out of 31.

We went to Cape Verde November 2018, Rui Touareg (or something like that). Weather was good all week. Not a lot to do but if your after a week all inclusive to kick back and chill it might suit you. If your after swimming in the sea you might be disappointed as it gets quite windy, which leads to red flag swim conditions. Didn’t bother us we prefer the pool.

We spent a day at that beach over Easter but our hotel was actually quite far away from it. Keen to stay somewhere like you've posted next time.

Agree with this - have been there in November and had lovely weather - one day was cloudy out of 10 but warm and pleasant.

My wife tells me Benidorm can be good in November - never been then.

Go well away from the madness and it really is lovely

July, August, Sept.

My missus won't even go then as you can get two weeks of windy weather.

Madeira. Went last November 5th. Minimum of 20c daytime, and 18c at night. Plenty of good restaurants at good prices.
Very few beaches but loads of hills if walking around.

Stayed at the Touareg a few years ago.
I wanted to go home on day 2. Too many people in a relatively small place. Like a town in the middle of nowhere.

Luckily managed to move over to the Adults only wing which was a world of difference.
Still fk all to do 30km one way along the beach till you hit any civilisation and further the other way.

Thank god for Giggling Gecko tours. They kept me sane.

The resort was Parque Santiago 3.

Its right on that beach and appears to be mostly villas and apartments. We always book apartments so you get cooking and laundry facilities of your own, which keeps your food bills down and you can pack light. They also have decent sun terraces so you have some private outside space.

I hate hotels where you get one room and that's it.
