Hi, we are driving to Italy in June and to save the queues at the tolls I attempted to buy a Ulys tag (after reading about these on here).
However they have just contacted me to say they can only make direct debits from the eurozone!
Can anyone suggest an alternative that they use without direct debit issues please?

I've got a Mango tag https://www.mango-mobilitesbyaprr.com/ and didn't have any trouble with them setting up a DD to my UK bank account back in Jan.

Covers France, Spain and Portugal so would cover you getting to Italy but no driving around italy (if they have toll roads?).

I have a Emovis tag and that doesn't have a DD issue.

If you don't need it for long, you can rent a Telepass here:

https://www.tolltickets.com/en/country/italien/

It proved fairly painless when I rented one, and it even covered some car parks there

Have gone for the Emovis tag, slightly dearer but dealing with a UK company.
Won't work in Italy obviously but queues there are not bad IME.
French booths are often horrendous queues..

I'm driving to Italy in two weeks and just rented a Telepass. It's true that most toll booth queues are short, but there are some bottlenecks, e.g. northbound autostrade near Milan. One of those held me up last summer for more than an hour.

Remember to activate it on your account within the website.

Also remember that it's walking pace through the barriers unless they're marked as 30kph - even the 30kph ones have always worked at a slower pace in my experience.

Welcome to the "oh God, will it work?' club?! It will. smile

There is a tol West bound near Bergamo I think which is always hit and miss during rush hour.

I've just ordered one for a France trip at the end of July. It seems that on the special offer price, all I pay is 2.40 Euros on months when it's used. Is this right - they're sending me the device itself and postage is free too. Am I missing something on the charges?

Sounds about right - thats 2.40 plus the regular toll charges.

Mines through APRR & only 1 EUR - but I did have to pay something like 20 EUR for there tag in the first place.
