Anyone running regularly to/from France able to confirm whether published Covid controls still being applied at the border please? Interested in what’s actually happening; not what is officially stated will…

Thanks for any experienced comment.

You have to put your Covid pass ref number onto your Eurotunnel booking a few days before you go. I'd be interested to know what other physical checks are in place though.

My friend is unjabbed. He just used an edited pdf for a antigen test. It was glanced at and on his way.

Some friend, it is people like this that helped it spread in the first place.

No doubt if caught he would have complained about how the French border police treated him like a criminal.

Went last week, just had to show proof of vaccine when checking in for the ferry.

No checks at any shops, restaurants, museums etc.

Even re-reading it ten times I couldn't work out what I'd done wrong. My brain obviously doesn't work this early....

Its fine in my book, would happily do the same myself (and may well have to in the autumn for work if they dont drop the BS prior)

None. Went out Friday and back Sunday last weekend on Eurotunnel. Apart from the added pre travel of uploading your NHS vaccine passport up to 3 days before in addition to your normal passport (& getting the U.K. passport stamped at passport control) it was as I remember it from pre-Covid.

And it is now the triple vaccinated who are potentially spreading it

Un-vaxxed have to do a PCR test PROVING they are negative whereas the vaxxed who could be positive and spreading are freely able to travel anywhere

Most evidence now suggests it was all a load of bks in the first place

Mee too mate. My Mrs's "full vaccination" (two jabs that she really, really didn't want) status "expires" in the eyes of most of the EU as of this week so we'll be playing the game too when going to the EU. It's all bks. The game is over.

No amount of testing and vaccination will stop such a transmissable disease. Thailand, and NZ, for exacmple, Quarantined everyone, tested, vaccinated, who arrived for some time, and still it got through in high numbers.

My whole family went to NZ a month ago before they lifted the restrictions to outsiders on a compassionate exemption, for a family funeral. All tested before going, fully jabbed, yada yada yada. Brother tested positive 24 hours after arriving... That means almost certainly the pre departure test missed it, or, he got it on the plane, from someone else who's test missed it.

Yep - and possibly testing negative too!

My other half had 99% of Covid symptoms (cough, temperature, no sense of taste or smell) triple vax and testing negative - repeated tests were all negative.

Just checked Portugal as we're off there next week - last jab in June 2021 - guess I'll be using my recovery pass (expires 3 days after I leave but while i'm there) but have also got a friend's PDF of a 3rd jab and photoshopped it in case I and the mrs (same boat) are turned around
