Anyone flow with Wizz ? We are looking for a long weekend in Mallorca in June and only Wizz and Ryan air are coming up with sensible flight times, BA have something out of London city but its a pain getting there.

I'm expecting them to be the purple version of Ryanair.

Four of us flew Wizz from Luton to Prague a few years back for a Europa League tie.

Wizz are what you'd expect of a budget airline - not flashy with no frills, but the flights were pleasant enough and I'd have no problem flying with them again.

They are a bit prone to canceling flights if bookings don't hold up...

This happened to us, shifted us by a day. Bit inconvenient as the return wasn’t..

Happened to me yesterday. The Wizz flight was one of three connecting and the cancellation has messed up the outward section of the journey completely as there are no other suitable flights. Grrr

I booked LPL to albania.

Return flight extended by a day which is ok but the fact it won't show on my account is not.

They sent me a link notifying me of the change and to click and accept. IT WILL NOT WORK!!! FFS

Quite a regular user of Wizz and never had any issues. The upgrades for decent seats and speedy booking are all reasonable and better managed than EJ or Ryanair.

They are, IMHO, the best of the low cost air lines, would chose them over Ryanair any day of the week.

I booked some cheapo flights to Prague a few years back I think £25 return, had a moment of madness and booked with name Nick, not Nicholas as in passport, ended up costing £40 each way to change names :P

Our neighbour in Spain uses them regularly to go back and forth and has had this happen a few times. Shifted an outbound flight, sometimes to take place after her inbound flight so she would be departing after she had come back.

When trying to book for the canaries they came up the cheapest on sky scanner, but even a carry on case was an extra cost making their prices way more expensive (unless you don't need any luggage!)

Ended up booking with Jet2 for less overall cost.

Yes they seem to charge £35 per person each way for priority boarding and a cabin bag but even with that they are £250 cheaper than Jet2, the cheaper Jet2 flights seem to leave the UK at 6pm and return 1am

I'd just make sure that anything else you book is moveable/cancellable in case they reschedule your flight

Guessing a busy holiday route is less likely to be cancelled than a mid-Feb flight to Luton from the Slovakian equivalent of Luton smile

I was thinking LTN to PMI in June and back July should be safe, but worst case is I have to book another flight back, its only 4 nights so shouldn't (fingers crossed) be an issue.

Only flown with them once to Budapest, new plane no thrills etc nothing to complain about.

Bear in mind they have the smallest free carry on luggage allowance out of all the budget airlines, plenty of people were caught out on our flight.

Their free allowance is tiny, pretty much handbag sized. A standard cabin bag is chargeable.

My mum used wizz to fly to Bulgaria. Don't recall her having any issues, though this was about 9 years ago.

I ended up booking with Ryanair, nothing put me off Wizz other than i would have to have flown from Luton and we have ended up going out of East Midlands which we prefer.
