I'm off to Ischia with the wife at the end of May.

Double jabbed, the last one on 11th June 2021 - does anyone know what the latest requirements are and if I will need a 'booster' to go?

Cheers

For more detail on what 'vaccinated' means - on the Italian Health Min site:

"the COVID-19 Green Certificate or other equivalent certificate which must state one of the following conditions:
- completion of the primary vaccination series or booster dose according to the vaccination plans of the countries of release with vaccines authorized by the European Medical Agency (primary series validity 9 months and booster dose without predefined limit)"

[I was only looking this morning for a mate at work]

Looks like you could be caught by the 9 month rule since last jabbed.

You also need a completed PLF for entry to Italy. I'm visiting in September and done this online.

If you can't go, I will step in. I like Ischia.

Requirements changed as 1 May until 31 May.

Here's a link to current requirements

https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/italy/ent...

PLF no longer required
Masks required on the plane still.
Green pass no longer needed

Here's a useful online questionnaire that you can fill in to see whether or not you need to do anything in order to enter Italy.

Expect further changes from 1 June 2022.

...so according to that I would need to quarantine for 5 days as I've only had the AZ vaccination!

You should still have time to get the booster I'd have thought.

If you'd researched properly and looked fully you would have seen this on the list of EU approved CV vaccines:

https://www.ema.europa.eu/en/human-regulatory/over...

Vaxzevria (previously COVID-19 Vaccine AstraZeneca).

So many lazy PHers around these days.

Went to Sicily a couple of weeks back and the one that nearly caught us out is that you needed FFP2 masks, not basic cloth ones, for both the flight and indoor public spaces once you're there. Luckily it was on the info Easyjet sent the night before the flight!

Would love to get to Italy but those entry requirements look confusing

Just have to wait till common sense comes back into fashion

It's very straightforward as long as your jab history is up to date.

  • Must wear FFP2 mask on the plane
  • Must have evidence on arrival of up to date jab history with EU authorised vaccine.
That's it.

No PLF
No Italy Green Pass.

Oh well, no chance without 5 days quarantine in a hotel that they take you to on arrival.

Don't understand being non vaxed but it's your choice.

Key word right there.....Choice

I'm absolutely pro the injections for the vulnerable, old and those people with underlying health issues

We don't fall in to that bracket so i'd be more than happy if they sent our doses to more needy people in other countries

I was trying to establish this yesterday. I am clear PLF forms are no longer needed but your statement about the Green Pass is helpful as the only info I could find was in Italian. My summary then is that COVID travel pass from the NHS app is sufficient? (As it was for Majorca two weeks ago

Many thanks

Just come back from Italy. Obviously make sure your last jab isn’t over the 270 days unless you’re able to meet the other criteria like negative test etc. the NHS app will provide you with the abroad travel QR code/proof of vaccine.

I wore a normal blue mask outbound, when departing a Italy they asked us to wear the FFP2 mask when boarding and throughout the flight, however lots of people didn’t wear them and they didn’t enforce it. The masks will be easily available in the airport. They didn’t enforce the FFP2 on arrival in Italy either.

Overall I found it pretty relaxed.

Just go to Croatia instead it’s what Italy used to be like and common sense still prevails.

We are flying out tomorrow morning. Filled in the PLF over a week ago. Shame we didn’t know they were going to ditch that idea before we leave!
That form was a bit of a PITA anyway.
