We're off on holiday mid-June, couple of days in Dubai then off to Mauritius.

I've been looking at what innoculations we need, spoke to our doctors who said they aren't doing them currently and go to Boots??? Looked a Boots locally to us and there are no appointments for at least a month and I believe some may need 6-8 weeks to be fully immune etc.

Has anyone else been in the quandary? Any advice?

You don't need anything for Mauritius, and I am doubtful you need anything for Dubai. Not unless you want to follow the letter of all "possible" risks.

This is assuming you are not referring to Covid.

As above you don’t need anything more than your usual boosters. I assume you’ve looked at the fit to fly website?

Yep.

May need a Covid booster but with our last booster we'd be nearly due another.

Ah ok. Sorry I can’t be of any assistance. I used a local independent place in Southampton years ago but they appear to have been bought out by one of the big boys. Good luck.

I sincerely hope boosters do not become "usual" or I'll not be travelling to a lot of countries. Nor willl about 1/3rd of our population.

Mauritius does not require any boosters. Fully vaccinated is the two jab course of Pfiezer, AZ etc. That's it (I was there recently)

From Mauritiusnow.

"be fully vaccinated with two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine recognized by the Mauritian authorities. The second dose, if applicable, must have been administered 14 days before arrival. One can only travel from day 15;"

Dubai also recognises "fully vaccinated" as 2 jabs - the complete course as it was designed.

It's Spain and Italy who have decided "fully vaccinated" has an expiration date. They are not alone, though I expect this to change as things wind down, so to speak. They are joined by

Austria - you can still go - just need a PCR test
Croatia - same as above
Iceland
Israel
Netherlands
Switzerland
