I'm due to go from Dover early on Friday morning coming from the midlands, usually its M40, M25 and then M20 but with everything going on it seems this could be a nightmare.

Would the A2/M2 be a better option?

Take a look a bit further down, similar thread running with some links. Seems it's a fluid situation, so probably worth checking the latest before you leave.

I live in Maidstone on the edge of Brock and have been travelling to Dover/Folkestone (town centres):

It's very random. At the moment the M20 is closed, but M2/A2 is the main preferred route if there aren't delays at Brenley Corner. Sunday was a particularly quiet day for example with minimal delays.

I'm going to Dover daily and no problems getting there this week Friday may be a different story going cross country canterbury via Elham then to Alkham Valley maybe an option
