I am due to fly to the US next week and have been directed by BA to use the verifly app.
2 quick questions.
Do I have to use Verifly or can I just show proof of vaccination and valid LFT?
Verifly doesn't let me input Manchester as the departure airport, only LGW or LHR. What do I do to fix that?

Someone will be along shortly to tell you how simple it is, and how stupid you are.
Believe me, they will.

Yep. It's that simple (assuming that is all you're required to do, I'm not familiar with the current US requirements).

I travelled with more restrictions last year and never used the verify app. Just rocked up with the docs in hand and my PLFs filled in. I'm pretty sure they're going to ask at check in anyway.

Just make sure you arrive with plenty of time to check in... Despite how simple it is to fill in a form and show a document so many people seem unable to do it.

Is it a BA serviced flight or is it a code share and actually an Aer Lingus flight? You need to use the actual carrier rather than who you are coded with on your ticket.

VeriFLY is super easy.

Yes you can rock up with just your documents but be prepared for a long wait of manual checks - I’ve seen dedicated paperwork queues in the UK for US bound flights that are several hours long and have resulted in passengers being bumped onto subsequent flights whereas VeriFLY is super fast and just requires a cursory glance at the pre-approved passes on your phone screen.

I get as far as....
Selecting that I'm going to US.
Put in airline as BA ( it is a BA flight)
The only 2 departure airports available to select are LGW and LHR.

Yeah I get the same - however I thought BA pulled all flights that are direct / nonstop to the USA from Manchester??

Ah ok. The flight goes via lhr so I assume its that departure point rather than the airport I start from.
There, I am stupid smile

Easy mistake to make.

What you will find is that once your VeriFLY is completed you still won’t be able to checkin online - at least that’s what I have found with flights I have done booked from Newcastle to Heathrow to then a final US destination.
