Car Hire from Carrefour (in France)?

I'm trying to rent a car from a random railway station in France, and Carrefour are significantly cheaper than the usual suspects. I'm struggling to create an account because it seems structured for French residents only (e.g. the date for driving licence issue can't be less than 18 years from your DOB). Has anyone from outside of France managed to rent a car from them?

It seems to suggest that your licence has to be "validated in France", so I wonder if that excludes non-citizens?

Any experiences which would help me understand if this is worth pursuing would be great.
