As per title, I’m in Fort William with my 13 yr old son on Monday. Have to be in edinburgh6pm ish. Any recommendations on stuff to do either near FW or en route. Preferably outdoor type stuff. We’re walking Ben Nevis on Sunday.

Skiing at Glencoe
Go Ape at Aberfoyle
Stirling Castle
Blair Drummond Safari

There is loads of stuff en route, but not that much in Fort William.

Thanks - just clocked the skiing option ! Looks like you can just turn up and hire gear and get passes - wondered if you have done that and know, doesn't seem like booking is a must do...

The Jabobite is back running across the 'Harry Potter' viaduct to Mallaig and back.

Yes you can do, no need to book. There is ski hire etc on site and a new cafe now. Their facebook page is the best place to check for info on what the snow is like but I think it's pretty decent at the moment.

EDIT - this posted earlier today looks like there is decent snow on the pistes and some rocks to ski round off piste.
