Possible to travel with just a printout of biometric permit?

My wife is Kiwi and has sent her biometric residents permit along with marriage certificate to the DVLA for name change related stuff. That was about 7 weeks ago and it still hasn't come back and we're meant to go to Tenerife next Weds!

Anyone have any idea if she can travel with just a scan of this permit? She has a scan of both sides of it, clearly see it's her etc.......

Any advice much appreciated, trying to speak to the home office or DVLA is pointless it seems.

My wife's sister is insistent that she can just use the E-Gates and doesn't need to have this biometric permit thing at all......hoping this might be the case?

As long as she has a biometric NZL passport then she can use the e-gates.
