Accom in Champagne

Any recommendations? Going in early June. I found Chateau d'Etoges, which looks very nice, and whilst I'm happy to splash out every now and then I have a Meldrew moment(s) when I'm being charged extra for breakfast. Given that I rarely have much beyond bircher and tea, this irks me somewhat at €22 for this place. Also need secure, flat parking if poss. No kids or wife, just me and the car. No real budget, just needs to be a nice place to stay (with breakfast included, obvs).

Can recommend. Ensure you get a room in the main house, not the extension. Parking there felt safe as houses - the courtyard was first come, first served with the benefit of the moat, and the overflow was entirely within the gated complex.Stayed here and did their tour with champagne tasting - was really excellent! https://www.champagne-pierre-trichet.com/?lang=en

The rooms in the extension are ok but you’re right the main house is nicer. Parking is absolutely fine, I’ve stayed there a couple of times and I’ve never been worried about the car. The restaurant is lovely and the cheese trolley is fantastic. There’s a bar restaurant just outside the chateau now and that was pretty good as well. Can’t remember it’s name but there’s a old school french bar at the other end of the village that’s worth a visit.Gassing Station | Holidays & Travel | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
