Not been for a while, actually not been anywhere for a while. laugh

Looking for a holiday cottage 2 people and 2 dogs during September.
Must be handy for beech to take dogs on, a pub or two would be good too.

We've previously stayed at Brancaster Staithe and liked it a lot. Snettisham, I don't think we've ever explored it before and seems to tick a few boxes, anything obvious I'm missing?

Blakeney is lovely. Might be a bit too quiet though.

Blakeney would be okay, but not sure about dogs and nature reserve.

Mundesley might be worth looking at — it seemed very 'dog friendly' when we were there last autumn.

Wells would tick most of your boxes - if you are planning on coming once the school holidays are over then you should have a bit more choice on accommodation

Alternative to a cottage. I've been hiring this for about 40 years.
Dogs accepted. Moor at Horsey, Norfolk and walk half an hour to a glorious beach.
Old traditional boat so v few mod cons.
About £1k for a week in September.

All the north Norfolk coast from Cromer right round to Hunstanton is lovely.

Just like much of the Suffolk and Dorset coasts though it's utterly ruined by a log jam of noisy London second homers being aholes and the locals truly astonishingly voracious rip offs on everything from parking to overpriced gourmet and gastropub food and drink. Just one example - you'll pay more an hour to park in Wells that you do in central Madrid.

School holidays especially are a nightmare and the only time we'll contemplate a short break in north Norfolk is midweek in term time.

And Orford.

But gosh aren't cottages filling up fast, good job we're flexible. Booked One in Blakeney for a week in Sept.

Yes Orford is a funny place, my godfather bought a semi there to use as a holiday home which friends and family also use (he is about has far as you can get from the typical London 2nd homer).

In the last 10+ years he has owned it we have seen things change. There are people there who’s issues are definitely first world…The pubs do a bloody good pint of Ghost Ship though.

We’re off to Brancaster next week for the day, great beach for walking the dog and about the nearest bit of coast to us. It’s a lovely drive up in the Landrover to walk our Labrador wearing Barbour jackets….oh st what have we become….

Last time I visited.
Burnham market full of braying City boys albeit pub quite good
Aldbrough proper place visitors and locals mingling
Orford similar, but young women with long tanned limbs on bicycles
