I’m struggling to find up to date info on Google….travelling to Faro in May with a lot of luggage and family members.

Are there any car hire companies that have collection and drop off directly in the terminal car park? I land very late and don’t want to be faffing about, just want to land, get in the car and drive off!

For years we have used a company where all the admin is done in advance and one of them meets you at the coffee shop on arrival. They check your documents etc and walk you out to your car ready to drive away! It costs a little more but it is amazing…. Will dig out details in case interested!

There are a whole bunch of car hire companies that operate from the airport car park, just a short walk from the terminal. Some useful info here:

Also another recent PH thread on the topic here:

As above, we also use Zest. Pickup from travelrent, masterkings or drive4fun from the little white kiosk in car park 4 less than 100m flat walk from terminal building. Leave baggage reclaim and out thru customs, turn left, walk thru terminal towards departures then exit once past coffee shop and car park 4 is clearly signposted.
Currently travelrent operate the latest no-out-of-hours-charge pickup times.
Extra charge on all is a 15 Euro on airport collection charge plus 20-25 Euro for A22 toll road transponder if you need it which includes 15-20 Euro credit.
ETA drop off is back into car park 1, opposite departures as you curve round towards the terminal.
Top tip - if there’s loads of you with luggage get everybody else to walk with the luggage right to the far corner of the terminal building and come out of the corner exit next to the coach drop off point and wait for you there by the doors opposite car park 1 entrance while you collect the car, then you can drive a full circuit round the outside of the carparks, round the roundabout and back in towards terminal/departures to pick them up there without lugging seventeen cases 50m across the carparks.
