Tempted to use the OFFICIAL Meet and Greet through the Manchester Airport Website for Terminal 1 Parking.

I know there are horror stories but believe these are related to the unofficial websites offering a similar service.

Can anyone offer and advice or feedback in using the service?

Thanks in advance.

I would never use it again. About 6 years ago (so it may have improved but this was my experience) I used the official park up service where you drive in, they scan your car and park it. I thought this would be in the paved area right in the airport but the condition in which my car was returned to me led me to believe it wasn't. Anyway, on return from holiday I pick the car up and there is a huge dried on mud splat from the front wheel all the way along the door and up to the rear window. I open the door to find the sill covered in more dried on mud and the drivers footwell and pedals also covered in it.

It looked like it had been taken down a Welsh rally stage in mid November. Now the car had been valeted two days before using the airport service so was immaculate both inside and out. I don't know what the purpose of the camera booth is if its returned in such a poor state anyway. I complained by email to customer services and they fully reimbursed me the cost of parking plus £20 on top as a goodwill gesture to have the car valeted. I would never use the service again but as I say, this was 6 years ago so I would like to think it has improved since then.

I've used the M&G at both terminals and would again. It's so convenient; rock up, park you car, get you bags out and then drop your keys off and that's it. Return is the reserve.

Plus it's not much more than parking in the Jet Park, so for a tenner extra it's a no brainer, plus no waiting for the shuttle and so on.

Once it was however a shambles. They were upgrading all sorts and the queues to hand over your keys are comical. To be fair, I did email them whilst I was away and they did offer me £20 or so off the next cost the next time I used it. Seemed fair enough.

How did you get on? I'm looking at parking for a familiy holiday and I'm nervous about handing my keys over.

My FIL uses the M&G every time he flies from Manchester which is several times a year, he rates it. I’m more nervous as I don’t like people driving my car so I always use the multi storey, I’ve not got any complaints about that apart from the price.

I used the multi storey just 2 weeks ago and it was fine. I had to reach the 11th floor before I found any spaces though! Anyway, the multi storey doesn't seem to be available for my chosen dates. It's M&G or Jetparks
