How late can I change passenger name?

We are going skiing, flying out Saturday 3pm
We’ve already checked in online and chosen seats etc, but one of our group has had to pull out.
We’ve got another person keen, I’ll obviously be calling tomorrow to try and sort it, but does anyone know if we’re too late to change passenger name as we’ve checked in and have had boarding passes issued?
