Hi Folks,

I’ve booked a surprise 3 night trip away for the wife and I to Amsterdam. I’ve researched a fair bit as to what to do and obviously we all know the stories etc.

Does anyone have any suggestions of good places to go for food/drinks etc and things to do? Our hotel is central, about 10 minutes from red lights district for those of you who know the area well, (no it wasn’t booked that close on purpose).

I know I’ll get the fun answers but it’s not a stag do (unfortunately). Have to behave to a degree.

Cheers in advance.

While its not exciting the Anne Frank House museum is worth visiting. There are some good canal tours. After that its all, wes, bicycles, tulips and weed hehe

Rijksmuseum. Van Gogh Museum.

Have a rijstaffel; can't recommend anywhere since although I worked in Amsterdam for a while, it was ~40 years ago.

Lots of nice pubs.

Heineken museum, House of Bols, Canal Tour with wine and cheese, walking tour with local guide, Foodhallen https://goo.gl/maps/svVHLaPfoKfS6cRW6 (brilliant food hall with loads of different food, bars and live music)
RIJKS Restaurant Michelin star but not too expensive, we sat at the “kitchen table”
The Avocado Show for lunch
